EDP Renewables Japan, formerly known as ReCapital K.K., was established in 2014 as a project developer. Today, EDP Renewables Japan is part of EDP Renewables APAC, a leading clean energy hub for the region, with business focus on Ground-mounted grid-connected solar photovoltaic systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Low carbon technologies powered by EDP Innovation.
EDPR JAPAN 株式会社 (旧社名 ReCapital 株式会社)は、2014年に創立された太陽光発電所開発会社であり、現在、アジア太平洋地域に於いて再生可能エネルギー由来発電の分野で主導的な役割を果たしておりますEDP Renewables APACの系列企業のひとつです。EDP Renewables APAC が特に力を注いでいる分野は、地上設置型太陽光発電設備及び連系蓄電池、更に二酸化炭素削減に資する独自の先端技術開発です。
EDP Renewables Japan has over 51 MW of secured and under development projects. At the moment, EDP Renewables Japan has 89 MW contracted and under development projects and more than 200 MW that is targeted for commission by 2026.

Fukushima Golf Country Club 44MWp Solar Farm
旧・福島ゴルフカントリークラブ 44MWp 太陽光発電所
Located in Matsukawa-cho, the Fukushima Solar Farm repurposes a 60-hectares disused golf course at the outskirts of the prefecture. The project will have more than 63,000 solar panels installed and a capacity of 44 MWp. Comprehensive environmental impact assessments were conducted to ensure the continuous thriving of wildlife habitats during and after construction. The project is anticipated to commercialise by September 2025. Once the project is commissioned, it can generate 47 GWh of clean electricity annually for Fukushima residents, effectively reducing 20,586 metric tonnes of carbon emissions.
This project will benefit the wider local community – from job creation to clean energy access. It serves as a beacon of progress and enhance the quality of life for the region and contributes to economic vitality.
This is part of EDP Renewables ambition to support decarbonisation efforts in Fukushima, contributing to Japan’s renewable energy goals.

松川町にある福島ソーラーファームは、県郊外にある60ヘクタールの使われなくなったゴルフ場を再利用したものです。本件プロジェクトでは、63,000枚以上の太陽光パネルが設置され、発電容量は44MWpとなります。建設中および建設後に野生動物の生息地が継続的に繁栄することを保証するために、本件プロジェクトでは包括的な環境影響評価が実施されました。本件プロジェクトは、2025年9 月までに商業運転を開始する予定です。商業運転が開始されれば、福島県民の皆様のために年間47GWhのクリーンな電力を生成することができ、二酸化炭素排出量を効果的に20,586トン削減することができます。
本件プロジェクトは、雇用創出からクリーンエネルギーへのアクセスに至るまで、幅広い地域社会に恩恵をもたらし、進歩の道標として地域の生活の質を向上させ、経済活性化に貢献します。
