Etienne Thomassin appointed new General Manager to EDP Renewables France
The new country manager will strengthen EDPR’s commitment to the country, where the company operates around 600 MW, between own installed capacity and operation for third parties.
EDPR recently announced an investment of 20 billion euros in the energy transition, 40% of it dedicated to onshore technologies in Europe.
EDP Renewables advances its photovoltaic deployment with the construction of its first project in France
The photovoltaic project is EDPR’s first deployment in the country since the recent partnership with Kronos Solar and represents the first step of its commitment to produce photovoltaic electricity in France.
The project will produce enough energy to supply around 2,400 households.
EDP Renewables secures two more wind projects in France’s latest tender
EDP Renewables applied for two projects in the recent wind tender by the Commission de Régulation de l'Énergie (CRE), that together will add over 35 MW of renewable energy to the company's portfolio.
One of the awarded projects, the Sceaux Wind Farm, is the second-largest selected in this tender.
Our main projects
Wanchy Capval Londinières
Located in Normandy, in the municipalities concerned of Wanchy - Capval / Londinières. It has 7 wind turbines of 4.2 MW each with a total capacity of 29.4 MW. The energy equivalent to the consumption of 33 000 people.
The construction of a dedicated power substation in order to connect to the grid. No recourse was made either on the wind project or the power substation.
Ménestreau
Located in Ménestreau in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté, with 12.2 MWp. There are 13 500 people supplied with sustainable energy. The site will welcome a second productive activity. We made contact with a local woman who intends to change her activity and move on to breeding sheeps. She will freely access the photovoltaic plant thus helping her to let her animals peacefully graze aside our solar farm.
Neuilly-sur-Suize
Located in Grand Est region with 4.3 MWp. There are 5280 people supplied with sustainable energy. It was the first solar farm built by EDPR in France.
