EDP Renewables donate €50,000 spread across over 20 projects in France
These donations have funded the acquisition of local medical equipment, educational equipment, and financial support to structures facing difficulties.
The pandemic period that we are currently experiencing has disrupted our lives and daily routines. Faced with this unprecedented situation, we at EDP Renewables have mobilized to continue our activities and maintain contact with our partners and the territories in which we operate. In doing so, we guarantee the continuation of our services for all of our missions.
To make this possible, EDP Renewables has put into place several rules, which include:
- Remote working for all employees and the implementation of remote meetings, both internally and with our partners. In-person meetings may take place if deemed necessary, in strict compliance with social distancing measures;
- Strict protection measures for operation and maintenance teams visiting the site.
In addition to these measures, EDP Renewables has carried out a solidarity campaign, distributing €750,000 in aid amongst ten countries. In France, this aid amounts to €50,000 spread across over 20 projects that represent our geographical diversity and our wind and photovoltaic activities. Notably, these donations have funded the acquisition of local medical equipment (gloves, masks, hydro-alcoholic gel, etc.), educational equipment (digital tablets), and financial support to structures facing difficulties (small businesses, municipal associations, etc.).
The current situation does not compromise any of EDP Renewable’s commitments. All of our wind and solar farm projects are ongoing. Despite potential delays, we are continuing to pursue each project from development to production with the same energy and passion as before. Above all, we continue to listen to local residents and take appropriate measures to ensure that each project meets the expectations of our local partners.
