Project overview
Juneau Solar Park would be located approximately two miles southeast of the city of Mauston, predominantly in the Lemonweir township. The solar park would create locally generated energy, strengthening the region’s grid, while also strengthening the local economy of Juneau County through landowner payments, job creation, and payments to the local government.
Juneau Solar Park yields significantly in the form of payments to landowners, local spending, and annual community investment. Juneau Solar Park is also compatible with other land uses and provides a stable form of income to local landowners.

Juneau Solar Park 2024 Development Updates
During the month of November, our EDPR NA team members attended the Town of Lemonweir and Town of Seven Mile Creek monthly meetings and provided the following updates:
- The Project signed an Interconnection Agreement with the regional transmission owner in October 2024
- The Project has a PSC Docket Number of 9830-CE-100
- The Project anticipates submitting the CPCN application to the Public Service Commission by the end of November
- The Project will be re-branding as the Emerald Bluffs Solar Park

Juneau Solar Park would save more than 285 million gallons of water each year and would displace carbon emissions from fossil fuel power plants, a major contributor to climate change. Solar energy also enhances air quality by helping to mitigate the health effects of harmful air pollutants.
