The project was presented in the Almeriques wind farm and responds to a commitment that was subscribed by EDPR with the development of innovation projects in this province.
The prototype that was presented proposes the construction of a concrete tower that can be erected at the construction site itself, without the need for transportation, offering more optimal results in areas lacking a supply and transportation of iron.
This Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&i) project was presented during a visit made to the wind farm, which is located in the town of Medina Sidonia. Visitors included the Delegate from the Andalusian Government in Cádiz province, Fernando López Gil, the Territorial Representative for Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment, José Manuel Miranda and the Delegate for the Promotion of EDP Renováveis in Andalusia, António Martín Jiménez.
EDP Renováveis has the approval and permissions from the Junta de Andalucía (Andalusian Government) and the collaboration from Pacador and Vestas.
