The company has closed the agreement with TransCanada Energy to sell the green energy from its Sharp Hills wind farm, avoiding estimated annual emissions of 700 thousand tons of CO₂.

With this new PPA, EDPR now has 0.4 GW of secured capacity in Canada. 

For 15 years, EDPR will supply the clean energy produced in Spain to P&G, avoiding estimated annual emissions of over 130 thousand tons of CO₂.

Two energy parks are expected to come into operation in 2023.

The projects, ranging from rooftop to ground mount projects, generate a total of 38.3 MW of energy and are distributed across 7 USA states.

Using the latest in environmental innovation, EDPR has worked with Walmart to support its commitment to pollinator friendly solar by building a ground mount solar array at its Laurens, SC distribution center.
