Project
The objectives of this project are the storage of wind energy through hydrogen and its subsequent commercialization to supply a fleet of buses powered by hydrogen in the city of Zaragoza.
Wind energy is one of the largest energies with the highest installed power in Spain. However, it does not take advantage of everything that could be done, due to the configuration of the Energy Market and the little electricity demand.
Today it is not allowed to store excess energy in batteries due to its inefficiency, but it is possible to use this Wind energy to produce hydrogen in a clean and renewable way.
This hydrogen can be used as fuel in buses, due to its low consumption and space availability, thus achieving a more sustainable mode of transport.
