On Wednesday, August 13, Rail Splitter Wind Farm hosted a site visit for Congressman Aaron Schock and his assistant, Shea Ledford.
Congressman Schock is Illinois's 18th district representative. His district has a total of 586 wind turbines with a total capacity of 992.55 MW, so, it was important he personally see the impact of wind energy in Central Illinois.
During his visit, Schock participated in a meet-and-greet and visitor orientation and took a few photos with the Rail Splitter team and other EDPR NA employees. The Congressman also climbed a turbine, which he later posted a picture of on his Twitter account.
Present for the visit were Development Project Manager Brian Dunneback, Regional Operations Manager Gary Simmons, Rail Splitter Operations Manager Mathew Cicero, Rail Splitter Site Lead Technician Alex Apel, Rail Splitter Operations Administrator Megan Baer, and Wind on the Wires representative Kevin Borgia.
