Earlier this month, employees from the Kittitas Valley wind farm hosted eight people from the Pacific Northwest Economic Development Council (PNEDC).
PNEDC is made up of city and county executives and managers from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Canada, and are all interested in economic development. Operations Manager Eric Melbardis led the tour, provided the group with great information, and answered the many questions they had about the wind industry and our local, economic impact. After about an hour and a half of touring, including a short driving tour the site, the group came back to the O&M building for lunch and desserts including custom-made turbine cupcakes. Attendees were also given an EDP Renewables water bottle to take home.

In addition to Melbardis, Site Lead Technician Matt Anderson and Site Administrator Natalie Currie were instrumental in making this successful event happen.
